Corn has a molecule similar to gluten and is called corn gluten. ( zein) . It can also cause the same symptom of other gluten based foods. Many countries label foods gluten free which also contain maize a derivative of corn. In some adults/children it can cause the same symptoms as other glutens . If you are sensitive to gluten it is also important to understand if you are sensitive to corn as well as this can make a difference in establishing a safe diet which will impact how fast you get better.
